ฉันชื่อ กีกี้ ฉันเป็นคนไต้หวันและใช้ชีวิตอยู่ที่ประเทศนี้มา 20 ปี นี่คือครั้งแรกที่ฉันได้มาที่ประเทศไทยเพื่อมาเป็นนักศึกษาฝึกงาน การได้มาอยู่ที่ประเทศอื่นที่ไม่ใช่บ้านเกิดเมืองนอนเป็นเวลาหนึ่งเดือนครึ่งเป็นสิ่งที่ท้าทายมากสำหรับฉัน และฉันก็ตื่นเต้นกับการมาในครั้งนี้มากๆ ฉันได้มาฝึกงานที่บริษัท เจเอสแอล ที่อยู่ในย่านที่เรียกว่า บางกะปิ อยู่ไม่ไกลจากใจกลางกรุงเทพฯ มากนัก สิ่งที่ฉันชอบมากคือ Night market ที่อยู่ข้างๆห้างเดอะมอลล์บางกะปิที่มีร้านค้าจำนวนมากที่ขายของท้องถิ่นต่างๆทั้ง ขนม เครื่องดื่ม และอาหาร เรียกได้ว่า ฉันได้มาอยู่ในย่านที่คึกคักและเป็นสีสันของกรุงเทพฯ มากๆ
I’m Kiki, I have lived in Taiwan for over 20 years. It’s my first time to visit Thailand and specially, for an internship. Staying for one and a half month in other country is considered a big challenge for me. I was very looking forward to it. The company JSL that we interned at is not far from the heart of Bangkok, the area is called Bangkapi. The first impression of Bangkapi is that the area has all you need to see of traditional activities and spots. There’s a night market next to the big department store with a lot of stands that sell local cuisines, sweets, and drinks. It can be said that JSL company is located right in the most flourishing part of Bangkok.
วันแรกที่ฉันก้าวเท้าเข้ามายังบริษัทนี้และได้รับบัตรประจำตัวนักศึกษาฝึกงาน มันทำให้ฉันตื่นเต้นมากๆ เพราะความรู้สึกของการได้เริ่มทำงานจริง มันได้เริ่มต้นขึ้นแล้ว ถึงแม้ฉันยังไม่รู้เลยว่า ฉันจะต้องทำอะไรบ้าง แต่เท่าที่สัมผัสได้ บริษัทนี้เป็นบริษัทผลิตรายการทีวีและคอนเทนท์อื่นๆ และเป็นที่รู้จักดีในประเทศนี้ ฉันหวังว่าจะได้มีโอกาสเข้าไปชมการถ่ายทำบ้างในเร็ววัน ยิ่งไปกว่านั้น CEO ของบริษัทได้พาฉันสำรวจบริษัทในทุกจุดด้วยตัวเอง ฉันจำได้ว่า ฉันได้แนะนำตัวเป็นภาษาไทยตามที่ฉันได้ฝึกฝนมา ทำให้ CEO มีความสุขมาก และทำให้ฉันอยากเรียนรู้ภาษาไทยให้มากขึ้นไปอีก
The first day we stepped into JSL, we got our ID cards that made me finally realized that this internship journey has officially begun even I might feel a bit nervous. In the beginning we didn't know what to do exactly. JSL is a famous television company in Thailand. There are many TV shows produced from here that I wish I could join the filming in the next days. Surprisingly, the CEO took us around to see the company’s faculties in person. I remembered when I introduced myself in Thai, she looked very surprised that I practiced my Thai fluently. I promised myself I would speak more Thai and explore more of the Thai culture whenever I have the chance to do so.
หลังจากนั้น ฉันก็ถูกส่งมายังแผนก Digital business ซึ่งถือเป็นแผนกน้องใหม่ของที่นี่ ฉันได้พบกับรุ่นพี่ที่น่ารักกับพวกเรามากมาย มีทั้งพี่ๆ ที่ทำหน้าที่ตัดต่อ ครีเอทีฟ ช่างภาพ และอื่นๆ โดยที่ฉันได้มีส่วนร่วมในการคิดรายการด้วย
After the visiting of the whole company, we finally made an enter to our department called Digital business. There’re a lot of people in our department. Some of them are responsible for the editing, some are the creatives, others are also responsible for the filming.
ส่วนในเรื่องความแตกต่างระหว่างการทำงานของคนไทยและคนไต้หวันนั้น ถือว่ามีความแตกต่างค่อนข้างมาก ยกตัวอย่างเช่น ฉันสังเกตว่า ที่ไต้หวัน เราจะใช้กล้องในการถ่ายทำรายการ 1 ตัว แล้วเปลี่ยนมุมบ่อยๆ เพื่อให้ได้มุมกล้องที่หลากหลาย แต่ที่นี่ ฉันสังเกตว่า ทีมงามจะใช้ 2-3 ตัวเป็นอย่างต่ำ แต่ฉันก็ชอบวิธีการทำงานแบบนี้มาก เพราะถือเป็นการประหยัดเวลาที่ดีเลยทีเดียว และทำให้รายการสนุก และตลกขึ้นอีกด้วย
Coming to the differences when working, there are many differences between Taiwanese and Thai. For example, when we film in here, Thai people would have 2-3 cameras ready, so each scene can be continued as a long take without being interrupted. In Taiwan, we like to set only one camera and change the angle each time they need the new angle of the scene. I personally prefer the way Thai people film. Not only it saves time, but also make the story more interesting yet funny.
อีกหนึ่งความแตกต่างที่สังเกตได้คือ คนไทยอารมณ์ดีมากๆ แม้ในขณะการทำงาน ถึงแม้ว่าพวกเขาใช้เวลาอยู่ในบริษัทวันนึงหลายต่อหลายชั่วโมง แต่ฉันก็ไม่เคยเห็นใครที่ดูไม่มีความสุข หรืออารมณ์ไม่ดีเลย เลยทำให้ฉันรู้สึกดีมากๆที่ได้มาอยู่ที่นี่ จริงๆแล้ว ที่ไต้หวัน บรรยากาศการทำงานจะค่อนข้างเครียดกว่าที่ประเทศไทยมาก เพราะจะรู้สึกเหมือนได้รับแรงกดดันจากหัวหน้าที่ส่งมาอยู่เสมอ และหากทำอะไรผิดพลาดไป การถูกดุ ด่า ก็จะเกิดขึ้นได้อย่างแน่นอน เพราะฉะนั้น ถ้าจะพูดถึงบรรยากาศในการทำงาน ก็ต้องบอกว่าที่ประเทศไทยนั้นดีกว่าที่ไต้หวันมากเลยทีเดียว ฉันมีความรู้สึกว่า การได้ทำงานในบรรยากาศที่เป็นมิตร นอกจากคนทำงานจะมีความสุขแล้ว เราจะยังทำงานได้ไวขึ้นอีกด้วย บางที ฉันก็อยากให้คนไต้หวันเป็นแบบนี้บ้าง
The other differences I observed is that Thai people are always very happy even when working. I had never seen any of them unhappy during the time I was around. I was very comfortable working with everyone. In Taiwan, working atmosphere is a lot more stressful. Usually, there’re great pressure from the boss that he might scold at us anytime we did things wrong. The atmosphere here at JSL is so much better than in Taiwan. I’ve come to learn that if people have a great workplace, they will perform better and faster.
ถึงแม้ฉันจะมาฝึกงานที่นี่เพียงหนึ่งเดือน แต่ฉันก็ได้เรียนรู้อะไรมากมาย ทั้งวิถีชีวิตของคนไทย บรรยากาศและวัฒนธรรมของคนทำงาน มันมีความแตกต่างที่ให้ฉันได้เรียนรู้มากมาย ฉันมีช่วงเวลาที่ดี และถือว่าเป็นหนึ่งในประสบการณ์ชีวิตที่ยอดเยี่ยมที่สุด ที่ฉันจะไม่มีวันลืมอย่างแน่นอน
With only one month at this company, I’ve learnt so much. I’ve seen how Thai people live. I’ve experienced the way they work. Most importantly, I’ve learnt that there’re so many differences we can study from one another, between Taiwanese and Thai. I had a wonderful time living in Thailand, yet it became one of the most thrilling experience I have ever had. I’ll never forget it.
